Put your records on

I love this song...

Just a feel-good song from Corinne Bailey Rae.

Three little birds, sat on my window.
And they told me I don't need to worry.
Summer came like cinnamon
So sweet,
Little girls double-dutch on the concrete.

Maybe sometimes, we got it wrong, but it's alright
The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same
Oh, don't you hesitate.

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.

Blue as the sky, sombre and lonely,
Sipping tea in the bar by the road side, (just relax, just relax)
Don't you let those other boys fool you,
Gotta love that afro hairdo.

Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright
The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change.
Don't you think it's strange?

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.

Just more than I could take, pity for pity's sake
Some nights kept me awake, I thought that I was stronger
When you gonna realise, that you don't even have to try any longer.
Do what you want to.

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

Oh, You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

Oooh... Lookie

Did a multiple intelligence test at tickle.com...

Siti, you're smartest when it comes to visual/spatial intelligence

Others may take their environments for granted but not you. Because of your visual/spatial intelligence you really see the world around you. This strength often helps you better appreciate the beauty and detail in everyday things. From shapes in nature to the structure of a fine automobile, a countless variety of things hold your interest. Having this particular kind of heightened awareness can allow you to form accurate mental images of existing places and objects. In extreme cases, one might call this strength a photographic memory. Being visually/spatially intelligent also means that you likely have a vivid imagination that can be put to use in a variety of creative or professional endeavors.

Knew that from last time... haha. Could remember my friend's friends and acquaintances when she couldn't. But getting worse now... not enough mental stimulation. Haha.

Cheerios.

Numero Uno

Hey all. I'm just a normal average Singaporean. Just pretty bored with my life. waiting to get into uni. can't wait. so far i've gotten in NTU business. NUS wants me to go to an aptitude test and interview for architecture though. Honestly, I still don't know what i wanna do. I'm also worried about the tuition fees. Really hoping that i can get the bursary so i don't have to use my dad's money. They're even already struggling now. Even with me working part-time. I don't know what's gonna happen when i start school... I'll probably have to continue working. maybe give tuition or something. A lot of people say that S'pore is a meritocratic society and everyone has an equal chance.

Honestly i feel that it's not that true. Not everyone is able to benefit from this meritocratic system. On my mum's side, i have 13 aunties and uncles. Out of all their children, only one other cousin besides me is able to make it to Uni. Have people ever thought whether everyone can really afford to upgrade their skills or get a degree through private institutions if they are unable to get a place in a local university? Let's take my dad for example... He's a welder with sec 4 education. Has been working the same job for as long as i can remember. Brings home about $1000. It's not that he doesn't want to get another job. He's the sole breadwinner of the family. If he were to take time off to upgrade his skills, not only would he have to pay for the course fees, it would also affect his earnings.

Hence, growing up i dint have many things that my friends had. Dint really realize it till now. Oh well.

How could i when i have a brother in NS still taking $12 a day from my mum who's not working. Sigh. Nothing's very fair i guess.

Oops. Dint mean to veer away so much. It was just supposed to be a short intro entry. haha.

Oh well.

Cheerios.
